is that your real licence plate you have as yer avatar? if so, i would say it was easy for the theifs to find your car.... thats really sucks, i recently started garaging my car for this reason.

Yeah that is my actual tag in the avatar... Thing that really sux is i found a secure parking lot a block away from my building that is only 75.00 per week after the car was already gone, I was talking to the manager of the lot, and he was like, "oh yeah i remember seein your car around the neighborhood thinkin this guy just moved in and needs to get that car off the street and into a lot before someone grabs it."

When the cop saw the pictures of the car he immediately changed his mind from kids joy riding to stolen and shipped out of the country. The Captain was an E30 fan and was like "OMG are you nuts leaving that on the street, the body kit alone is worth big $$$" I guess i totally under estimated the neighborhood because of all the other BMW, Benz, rovers and jags parked on the street, What a costly lesson.

Update!!!!!

around 5 pm tonight i get a message from the NYPD detective that they recovered my car and to call him for details, I called back but did not catch him so i call a buddy of mine that is also an NYPD cop, give him the CR# and detail and he calls me back telling me where the car is and that the DA's office actually recovered the car and have the guys in custody that stole it. No word on the condition of the car and the tow company was closed so i could not get any info. I am preparing for the worst but still hopeful that i may luck out and not have any serious damage. Well another sleepless night...

wow, i can't b elieve you didn't have an alarm living by NY. I couldn't live there with out an alarm, quick release, and would probably install that wheel blocker thing every time i get out. Freaking chain it to my bed, inside of the apartment.

Terrible loss, hope it gets recovered, more pics though from other angles, in case it surfaces somewhere.

Alarms in NYC are useless, so many go off that everyone just ignors them
