They really don't impress me at all.
Pretty nice looking car, yes, but all it is, IMO, is just one big technical nightmare, and a rich man's way of showing off.
I feel similar about the New M3 as well. Great car, but the electronics completely kill it..not to mention the weight!E30- 1989 325is

Really ugly, bloated things that can wreck somebodies neck with g-force and beat a McLaren F1 to 60mph.Comment

top gear liked it, and yeas it has to many electronics. but most of the electronics do something unlike the idrive. the gtr has always had a fair amount of electronics. and who gives a flying squirrel if its ugly! it will rape most of the boys on a track.sigpic

I have yet to see one in the flesh...er plastic....but for the most part I am intrigued by the car. Of course, I have my criticisms about it as well (doesn't everyone when talking about any given car?). My likes and dislikes are....

Serious bang for the buck - right there with the Z06
Twin-clutch gearbox (not as pure as a manual, but slick technology)
First real Japanese 'supercar' (400+bhp) available in the US
Dislikes
Less than inspiring styling in my view
Portly portly portly!!! There's nothing sporty about 3,700+ lbs curbweight
More electronics & gadgets than I would want in a performance car
I think the real GT-R to watch for will be when the V-Spec rolls out. Nissan is claiming over 300 lbs. shed by employing more carbon fiber which will put this thing in E46 M3 territory plus the engine management is rumored to receive a bump putting it around 550bhp. To me, if this car sees the light of day, that will be the GT-R I would be plunking my money down on....even if it took a year to get it. I know the styling wouldn't totally win me over, but I'm sure the driving experience would. And for the hardcore enthusiast, that's why they would be buying it too.

There were 4 of them at cars and coffee last weekend. They're pretty sweet, IMO.
