So I guess I'm now just like everyother E36 on Bimmerforums....

Dude, I like the Style 5's on your E36, and I agree that there are far fewer E36s with Style 5's than most people realize. It takes more to fit them than just bolting them on.
That said, 99% of the time you post here you come off like a pretentious tool. You did it when you had your bronzit, and now you're doing it with the E36 virtually no one on this site cares about. You posted a new "lookit my car" thread on an E30 site and you're butthurt because E30 fans aren't "validating their opinions?" Yikes indeed. You belong in an E36.

No, no, your confusing my intolerance of malinformed gross generalizations for one sided eliteism.
I'm not butt hurt because people can't see past their own nose, or the emblem on the hood of their E30 or E36.
I'm simply questioning statements made by people in this thread in order discover the reasoning behind their generalizations. I don't really care if you don't like or "care" about my car, I just enjoy forming rebuttles to comments that I find baseless or atleast intriguing. Its a form of entertainment.
I don't take anyone on this site too seriously, neither should you, but of course thats your decision.
bottom line, I tend to do what I want to my own car, but always like seeing peoples reactions to it.
I actually think the reason I post on here so much is because I know there's a mysterious blind hatred for anything not E30, how evident it is or not.
I also enjoy the elitists on most forums, its fun to push their buttons and see them react. There are quite a few on this forum, most of them are complete pricks. And with every reason, its the internet. The faceless nature of this form of communication makes it a very easy place to push peoples limits without much consquence.
To really learn how to deal with people in real life situations, it always helps to understand how people react in arenas where their inhibitions are few if not non-existent.
This statement sums it up best, talk about an exageratted, ostentatious statement without justicfication or merit. (a.k.a. pretentious)

He's happy a BMW luxury car had better interior than a domestic economy car 1994 Grand Am.Hahaha. Great rationalization.
Go to Bimmerforums and don't come back Hon!!Comment

I never said I was happy, although I find it more appealing than the interior of my E30, I was only pointing out how off base your own comparison was.
I think comparing a car built 14 years ago on a basis of fit and finish with a a car built less than a year ago trumps my "comparison" (by the way, it was a 92' grand am, not a 94', you would know that if you paid attention) for all around "idiocity" and outlandishness.
It's like saying the design, materials and fit and finish of an E92 is better than than a 20 year old E30. Really? NO SHIT!!! Thats amazing! I half expect material quality and consumer expectations for design tolerances to go DOWN over two decades, stupid engineers......
On another note.
I still don't now why people call me "hon"? although it does do a nice job hitting home on my observation of the relatively low level of reasoning skills some people on this site seem to possess.
Lastly, and this is kind of disappointing, you remind me of all those examples in old race movies of segregationists chanting "Go back to Africa!"

Nah these are going on the black S52 car. It's another early model with painted euro bumpers, more of a hot rod than a "nice car" though. 16" Style 5's would look excellent, but they wouldnt clear my brakes (E36 M3). I dont like 17's at all, but they are a necessary evil. I just found a deal on a set locally for $500. I'm picking them up Saturday.Comment

I have a set of Style 5's for sale ($500) if anyone is interested. Just minor curb rash and the clear coat on the lips is cracked due to the PO putting wheel weights on the outside. Local sale only though.
I'm in Los Angeles. PM me."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
