Don't most cars that are transported overseas via ship have folding mirrors?

I love the hood popping forward too. Insurance broker needed to validate the VIN and had a hard time figuring out how to close it.

My favorite one is when I have someone in the passenger seat and they're looking all over the door panel for a window switch or window crank. When I point out the location of the switches I always get the reaction, "why did they put them there?"

The most truly odd car feature (and this is non-E30), is how Saab put the ignition switch in the center console by the e-brake handle. It always struck me as odd yet cool as well.

Huh? Do some cars in the states not have folding mirrors? i'd say 95% of the cars of here do it.

Haha, I knew about the mirrors almost immediately. And the hood never impressed me that much, I knew it was different, but never really cared. I like it now though, just because everyone that sees it is amazed, and thinks its awesome. Some people ask me how much I paid to make it do that

I'm actually at 5 years of e30 ownership, that amazes me...holy shit...

I love doing that too. Watch people struggle and finally give up on finding it, then tell them its on the center console.

I like watching people grope all over the grill/under hood area in the front to lift the hood

the window switches get people too

yeah opening the hood will freak people out.

I remember when I bought my Reebok hexalite 1997. I wore it for about 6 yrs and then I realized they are not the same size. One is 9 and the other is 10.

Can't really tell visually though but stuff like this happens.

I was astonished. So now my car cover doesn't stick out all retarded on the sides.

Hell, I've been an E30 owner since '94 and I just found out that you can scroll through the on-board computer by pushing in on the turn signal lever;).

That was about the level of surprise I had when I discovered that my seats fall backward when I try to adjust them.

I felt strikingly the same in your car.

Many people have a hard time finding the door handle in the dark or otherwise. It's positioned perfectly for the hand farthest from the door.
