          Hmmmmm.... Whaat would I drive?

          How about an e36 M3....

          or maybe an 850.....

          auto with lots of Dinan tweaks?

          6spd?

          What the hell!!! All of the above! (I'm lucky AND I work hard)

          Good thing I have a 4 car garage.
          The funny thing is that my current e30 is bringing me full circle. My first Bimmer was an 87 325is. My current commuter is a 91 318ic. My "toys" are the other cars listed above. Gonna have to be a Ferrari to get me out of the 850 scene. Then again, why not both?! :)

              i've always been into older cars... i restored vw karmann ghia's in high school (and my dad/i still have two (one is in pieces) in the garage at home). for pics... www.geocities.com/uscbigdaddykane/cars

              then i got into e30's, because that was a realistic car to get for college... wanted an "i", but ended up with my "e". i plan to keep it through college, and finish my karmann ghia.

              anyway,
              out of college i will hopefully switch to a nice e30 325is, and maybe go turbo with it.

              as a family car, maybe a retired police interceptor crown vic.

              from there, i've always wanted a clean CRX, swapped and turbo'ed. it would be a shame to not use my restoration skills, so i'll probably always have a karmann ghia or other old car around to work on.

                I went with a compromise on a few of the poll choices;
                I sold my E30, plus my daily driver Civic HB this past week and I got myself an E34 540iA.
                My choices were E34's, E36's, E36 M3's, E38 7's, W124 Benzos, W202 Benzos, '95-'96 XJ6's, and A4's.
                I'm not old enough to have to worry about having a family to haul or anything, but I wanted a more plush ride with some room to carry people/stuff, so the E36 cars were out. The M-B's and Jag were eliminated on the basis that they would cost a fortune to maintain (plus Jag's shaky reliability), and then the Audi, because I think of that as a FWD car.

                I think the 4-lighted E34 is a good testament to the E30 that I've had, loved, neglected, beat on, etc, in the past 8 years. Plus, it has a bit of everything I wanted, and more power than I needed. I'd imagine I or someone else in my family will be driving this 540i for many years to come.

                I'm medium pimpin.
