I had a Tacoma single cab with Daytons and 4 8 W2s and 6 other speakers. I had lowered it in the front by changing the mounts on the torsion bars and then inverted the leaf springs to lower the back (had to because I installed fastbags). To get the back as low as the front I had to manufacture a c-notch for the rails (wasnt a kit at the time).

I went through 3/16 urethane bumpstops all the time because I would run it bottomed out when rolling into places and such. The nice side effect is I got a deal on a few sets and I used my leftovers to make clutch stops for my E30 and a friends. 10mmx1.5 thread 2" long with a 2.5" wide urethan plate on the top, it was perfect for the E30.

I also had a paint-job that looked like I had just driven into blue water, inspired by the Ford Splash (but airbrushed SOOO much better by my good friend Jesus (RIP)).
I can dig it, cept for the daytons. Strange switch from that to an e30.

          Sold it.

when mature time comes, i'm goin for the new TL. sport package = 6 speed & brembos (teh win). i guess it helps to make friends with acura big wigs, especially when they sponsor our local tier 1 WTA tournament. truth be told, i'd jump on one right now cause it's so good, just don't have the monthly income to support it. ahh, mature time is too far away...

I know I might get flamed for this but, I dont really care. I think that a built up all motor, high revving v-tec monster sounds better than the S14. I do give much respect to the S14 though. I just think that it has a better sound.

You must not have heard many S14's on Alpha N/MAP because they sound just as good if not better because of the "big" engine size. The S14's Cylinder head intake is restrictive compared to most high performance Honda engines though. The biggest S14 hinderance is the AFM. Switch over to a TPS/MAP based system and the S14 takes on a completely different personality and sounds "like a Honda engine". Too bad the S14 doesn't have variable valve timing and it's stroke is a little long for 9K+ RPM's like some of these Honda engines but then again it's an older engine and needed to be big to move the E30.

This is going to sound really stupid to most of the members here, but if I was to honestly bow otu of BMW's/E30's, I would head straight down to MotoRex in California, and get me one of these:

Josh, how could you realistically afford a Skyline though?

Well, they might have rich parents or something. IIRC, Josh only saved around $2,000 for his last E30, and so far he has bought 2 crashed E30's in a row. That doesn't seem to add up to the price of an imported Skyline.
