    Whats the Poorest thing?

Whats the Poorest THing youve ever done to your car? Like A small fix or something temporary?

Me Instead of buying a bumper filler or a plate to cover it I used a piece of ABS Plastic and some 3M 3" Black Electrical Tape. With a little Back To Black you cant even tell its there.

The little clips that hold the window trim to the body were popping off at the track in april, duct tape fixed that.

    Still haven't replaced it.

yeah I got some hockey tape holding my window trim on. i was just driving and then all the sudden both sides pop off. I immeadetly said oh, see too fast for my trim. even though my car isnt that fast.

I used a penny to fill a vaccum port, worked great for 2 years.

I have friction tape holding my vents tight because they vibrated a little over bumps.

Yeah, that is the best I can do.
        Im now E30less.

this might be a little off topic but oh well.
Have any of you ever fell asleep while working on your car? You know laying down on the crawler and just get frustrated and take a nap?

                haha

I just got a funny image in my head of someone sleeping under the car, and waking up and smacking their head on the car

One of the rubber joints on my wiper motor linkage arm wore away so the arm kept popping off, leaving me without wipers. That was in March. Until last week, rubber bands (changed probably every couple weeks after they broke) were holding everything together. I consider that pretty damn ghetto.

..off the top of my head; zip ties, mismatched screws, missing screws, missing bolts, missing nuts, electrical tape, crazy glue, disconneted switches, disconnected sensors, disconnected bulbs, coat hanger wire, duct tape, twine...

I can go on and on on the joys of owning a cheap car that you can diagnose and temporarily fix and "forget" till you pop the hood or look under the car again

Ghetto beater prez :!: .......it's just an e30 you know...

My friggin motor swap. Zip ties, electrical tape, a small sledge hammer and a die grinder were the most commonly used things.
