i drove my Es100's till they had steel chord showing. I mean any body can where down to the chords but it takes a real idiot to drive another 1000 or some miles on them. It was fanny though because teh steel had no grip and it would scratch up the road when i turn.

Calling Drew to the thread (AKA Randomtask37). Drew, do you have any sage advice for this man?

Seriously. That is beyond bad. Thats not duct taping something together bad. Just not smart.

Zip ties like everyone else, electrical tape here and there. My bondo/foam/filler air dam side, it does its job though so I am stoked.

My drivers side door moulding fell off partially so I took it off to replace the clips only to realize my body shop (fuckin scammers) just goobed silly-cone all over the back so that took paint off. So I touched it up with some random paint and applied double sided tape to the back of the moulding. Then ran a thin clear bead of silicone over the top and bottom of the moulding. I also have clear silacone around my tail light seals because they leaked too.

I also had hand painted emblems for awhile. Now I have removed paint polished ones.

Finally my angel eyes that I had in the e3s days.

              Sold it.

Well when I was pulling the rotors off (using the BFH trick behind them) to replace the pads, one of the rotors cracked in half. When I pulled it off, i didn't want to have to replace it so I JB-Welded the rotor back together, dremeled the excess down, sanded it off, and it was as good as new. I would say it definitely improved my stopping power, and it is a worthwhile mod for anyone without common sense.

tires should be your first priority when it comes to maintenince.

if u dont belive me, look at my sig.

im not saying my accident was 100% related to tires... but they sure as hell didnt help the cause.

wire for exhaust hangers, after cutting off a rear muffler when you absolutely NEED the car to sound beefier for the weekend ... cutting spring coills when u absolutely NEED to have your car lowered for the weekend ... other shit thats been mentioned already ... and ive currently been runnning without a boot spoiler ... complete with speed holes, through a wet winter. cos i is too poor to even tape them up with duct tape. by poor, i mean lacking in motivation.

I have yet to resort to such meassures but cheap was the only option my GGrandpa would accept(the previous owner). many things were kind of half ass, but one thing that is terrible looking is the sheetrock screw that holds the front part of my driveside trim on! drilled right through the plastic right into the door.
