Have you driven an IX with snow tires? Only an Abrams tank could keep up with it.


I get in my IX and drive around in snowstorms just for the hell of it when the only other vehicles out on the road are jeeps and lifted 4x4 trucks. I laugh at the look on their faces as I pass them.

its crazy tho ... mine had under 100k on it (the a4) and my ix hit 255k the other day, and feels better on a bad day then the oooo did on a good day ... maybe it was just a bad buy tho

Man, I really want an iX...but only for the winter! I don't have the $ to afford two E30s and I want RWD most of the year. What a dilemma.

I'm in the same boat, except the other way around. I got the iX to take to Tahoe, but that's only during the winter, and during the summer/warmer months where theres no big snow, I wish I had RWD.

because AWD wasn't very popular in the early-mid 90's. it wasn't until the last 10 years that basically everyone offered an AWD model. the ix was not a great seller - and you could get an M3 for only a little bit more money.

e30 m3 and 325ix is probably the best combination of cars ever. I'll take one of each. No m3 yet but i'll get one sometime.

my ix makes our four runner look like a matchbox car in the snow. I drove past it stuck in our driveway once. Made me laugh.
