I bought one from amazon which according to the mfr whose name was on it, was a counterfeit. Good luck at HD :)Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

You could try it if you're brave - might be fine!

I rolled the dice on a counterfeit (Ebay special) "OEM" starter motor in my car 6 years ago and it has been good. Of course, quality control is probably sketchy so you could also get a bad one.

I wouldn't try it for any critical parts that might kill you or the car though. eg. front control arms / brakes etc.Comment

Pretty sure they diversified to capture a bit of random search $ and to cater to contractors who use HD lines of credit.Comment

That appears to be a Dorman part, a big generic parts manufacturer. They probably just uploaded a big spreadsheet of all their stuff to homedepot.com to follow the Amazon model of selling everything on a single site. I know Walmart is gunning hard for Amazon and have allowed third party sellers on their walmart.com site, just like Amazon.
