Needs a lift kit, 33" swampers, a gun rack on the back, 6 spots on the roof and a camo paint job.
Then we'll talk.

I don't understand car companies' need to build an 'all in one', swiss army knife car. What kind of asshole is going 0-60 in 5 secs with kids and groceries in the car anyway? Right tool for the job... an inline 6 is plenty to get that thing moving and still return decent fun and mpg. BMW doesn't need to do this. You can't please all of the people all of the time.Originally posted by chileelkyamaze about the enthusiasm e30 generate

I hate the idea of an "M" truck. It was only a few years ago I read an interview with a BMW executive saying there would be no M trucks because an SUV could not fit with the race-inspired M division and they didn't want to just start giving everything gobs of HP and calling it "M", like Mercedes did with the AMG brand.
Though I gotta admit I think the radical TT V8 design they went with is pretty interesting.

Indeed, the engine design is amazing. Though I seriously wonder about the heat dissipation issues that will arise with the inboard turbo locations. Under hard driving, in a confined and cramped space like an engine bay, all covered in plastic shrouds, it's going to get very hot in there. And the 335i has already seen some overheating issues with their turbo systems. Obviously BMW has some of the best engineers in the business and I wouldn't second guess them, but it's still a point of concern for me at least.

fuck the haters, that X5 M is badass. the porsche purists pissed and moaned when they built the Cayenne.....ummm Cayenne Turbo S...yes please. twin turbo X5...yes please. in this day and age auto companies need to do what they can to remain profitable, if these 2 M suvs help BMW stay profitable, then i'm all for it.Shoot, move, and communicate...

m trucks, FI m engines, and m engines that arent m exclusive... I guess M really does stand for Marketing these days.
I heard the next M5/6 are going to have turbo v8's instead of the v10 also...
for me the s54 and the s62 will be the highpoint before the tide rolls oute30sport.net
