I don't really have anything new to report on as of late. But the car has been a peach these last few months. Knock on wood.

So a little update (no video yet). When I originally ordered my individual coils from Jake at Classic Daily, it came with a bracket to mount those coils over the top of the valve cover. Well to be perfectly honest it did not fit very well. Only 2 of the mounts would line up with studs on the valve cover. Now usually I would have modified it or bent it slightly to make it work. But in this case the bracket is made of thick steel that does not like to bend easily. So fast forward a few months and I just happen to notice that on Classic Daily's website there is a picture of a new style bracket. So naturally I email Jake up and order this new one. Major improvement over the last setup. I still might one mount these coils on the firewall. But for now I pretty happy with this solution.

I haven't been on here in awhile. So a little update. I've been using Jake's ecu for probably 8 or 9 months now. I would like to say I'm incredibly happy. I've had zero issues with his product. I've had a few hiccups here and there. But that was due to a fuel pump and burnt spark wire crimp. I'm going to try and maybe post a video on here soon of my turd (car).Leave a comment:

Well as I drive it more it's like the pedal is returning further up and feels better, slightly more firm. I guess there is still some air in the slave or the lines. I felt like my brother and I bled the shit out of it, but I guess not enough.Leave a comment:

So it was the slave. The seal was torn badly. Yes I've replace the clutch, flywheel, TOB, pivot and retaining spring, pressure plate. And now the slave. It is all working now. The only that sucks is the return spring broke so the pedal does not go all the way back up.

Man if it isn't one it's another. So I finally about 2 months ago got my car more or less sorta out. New ecu, coil on plug, new flywheel and clutch, etc. The car has been driving great. Still could probably use a more tightened up tune, but it's great. Now I'm pretty sure the clutch master and/or slave is going bad. The parts came in today, and no it's not a huge job or anything. I'm just ready for stuff to quit breaking. Gotta pay to play.Leave a comment:

So about a month ago. My car made a loud pop noise and started running rough. Meaning at rpm it had a bad vibration and roaring noise. It was also hard to get into gear, if it would go in at all. So yesterday my brother and I finally laid under the car and removed the transmission. I thought that the strap on my pressure plate broke. Well, I was right. It scarred inside of the bellhousing pretty good. But other than that everything should be ready to just replace. I'm going with a clutch masters FX300 and RHD flywheel.Leave a comment:

To be Honest I did a head swap and all new gaskets at the end of 2017. I'm just going to put studs in her and let her eat. The engine feels strong and doesn't burn any oil. I know a lot of guys that use unknown mileage short blocks and just send it. I'm lucky that mine started out as a automatic eta. So in theory it wasn't beat on. It's a bit leaking here and there, but most of them are.The non-pucked 300hp FX clutch from eBay is what Jake has had good luck with. I drove it, it’s grabby but not nearly as bad as a pucked disc. A lot of the internet (incl me at one point) will suggest a 618 pressure plate- I had one in Linda and thought it was too stiff for a car you drive a lot.
This is what I’d go with:

Also, 300hp and turbo, I wouldn’t touch the bottom end man. Do some studs, a genuine head gasket and call it a day. Do comp/leak down to see how healthy things are if you’re worried about it.Leave a comment:
