Sort of, we all lose parts on the way, just scored an old flashlight to replace the lost one, it was like christmass...

took mum around today, then got this pic, shes running like a 1984 e should, revs till she cuts off right when the fun starts...lol

Maybe an ECU chip could side past the “Stock” requirements. They wake these up pretty good.

Nothing like getting some miles on them! :)

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

Maybe in 1997 i would have done that if it was mine then... speed and power arnt the 80's forté without mods, that why so many were modded in the frist place...lol

She runs very well and gas mileage will be what this car does best as long as i own her. If i need power and speed i;ll ride my motorcycles.

Not many cars can run with my GTR anyways.

Very nice! I have (what is left of) a 1984 325e as well. Unfortunately or not, I have found there isn't a huge aftermarket for the early model e30s, especially the 84's (I think Turner makes a chip for '85 ETA, but not '84, for example).

Just got her back from the local shop doing the restore on this girl, lots of new fresh rubber bits! Best deal was on these 99 dollar hankook specials whoo hoo!

Honest question, if BMW made condoms, would they last long enough?

Would they be a pain to take off...

                lol

Is the condom made in West German Era or made for the new Chinese market?

Its looking good! Whats on the to do list?

Awesome color! I had a 1984 318i that color back in the day. 1984 325e cars should have a higher compression piston - I'd be curious to see some compression numbers.

I heard Brian from Inline Automotive say rear bushing, removing the gas tank for some replacement work and it wont be cheap, selective hearing kicked in after that...lol. Nose foreward she's up to speed, dash batteries are out and a new panel replaced it,

seats struts are still off, horn doesnt work and i dont have rear reverse lights for some reason. I dont neede a horn cause i have 5mph bumpers, reverse lights arnt important because whats behind me isnt either...lol

I must say this e has never run better, it actually has a growl between 3600 and redline she never had, i actually enjoy reving it for the first time. This car has never run better since the day i drove it off the showroom floor in 1984.

Check out the weird colour of the overflow tank never seen this before is it new...lol

Im sure the shop has them, it was one of the first things needed to be tested before they got on to everything they have done so far. had compression and fuel, no spark! Once they fixed the no spark its was all gold.

I will say these cars with fresh bushings and good alignment back drive really nice. Before doing bushings, and if the subframe isn’t shifted to much from bad bushings, I’d check alignment first. If alignment is out you could have eccentrics or other camber tow adjusters welded it at the same time the subframe is out for bushings.

Usually the dry rotted gas fuel hoses above take is a reason to drop the tank. Car looks clean enough we’re the tank doesn’t look rusty.

You might be able to check the wiring around the shifter for a split or bad reverse switch.

I love new plastic reservoirs with proper blue BMW coolant! :)

All your zinc plated metal brackets and hardware look nice still too!
