Well yeah, iX basketweaves are ET41 so I would go with 18mm or 20mm spacers which would give you ET23 or ET21 for a nice fitment (stock 15x7 euroweaves are ET24). Make sure you get longer wheel bolts as well.

This was the kit I used for the IX weaves I used on my Save-an-IS project. Final stance was pretty nice

Thank you I have gathered that now lol. I have spent the last week learning ET and spacers. I got a kit from ECS for the E30 that includes longer bolts!

I like that stance! I ordered 20mm hub centric spacers. Should be here this week.

Yes! Those photos are my fav of my old E30. The second one with me driving with my dad is still to this day my lock screen wallpaper on my desktop. That was such a great show and you captured the moment! Thank you.

I have to agree there is something about this photo I keep coming back to. Love bringing a car back up to spec.

Thank you to all who chimed in on my fitment issue! I took a YouTube crash course along with looking at nearly every page of "E30s on 15's" learned a lot about ET, wheels, fitment, etc. Now I know! Part of the fun of a project car.

So what did I land on? I went with 20mm spacers and extended lug bolts from ECS Tuning.

This was completed after a long day of work when I just wanted to wrench to take my mind off things. I wish I took more photos but I was just full throttle on getting this done so I could go for a sunset drive.

                My general process was:

                Remove 14's
Prep all surfaces for spacers and test fit
apply anti seize to all mating surfaces
install and test fitment or rubbing
                profit!

Used a wire wheel to remove surface rust for a clean install and to ensure spacers were properly mounted.

Went a little rouge! Centercaps for IX are 120 EACH so I found TimberShift Ltd on Ebay who I think has been mentioned on this form before. They are 3D Printed but show nicely I was quite impressed! This may hold me off until I get a dream set of wheels down the line.

20mm was the right move. Thanks 2mAn!

Reached 5 photo limit next post will showcase final stance and install. She needs more low but that will come with time.

Man it feels good when a plan comes together! Stock Sport Suspension right now but the plan is HR Sports Springs and perhaps E90 drop hats down the line. Huge improvement from bottle caps.

I have ordered a replacement front trim to fix the cracked license plate delete trim. We are technically required to run a front plate but screw that. Planning to upgrade to Sealed beam to Euro H4 headlights down the road to maintain the early model look.

That's it for now! next on the list is a new exhaust and a refresh of my shifter bushings.

We had a very mature R3V discussion about the headlights here ...

I've been trying to convince a former E30 owner who had a 3D Printed early model front plate delete to have another run done... but so far no luck. I will scream it from the mountain top if Im able to convince him to make some more. I used to purchase rear trim and chop them up to make front plate deletes, but the 3D Printed option is much better.

I also purchased the "high-dive" kit to retain the big bumper in the rear but gives it the Euro look. Only downside is the spare wheel well is more visible because of the short rear apron of the early models
