I just want to know how roughly 83hp per liter is underpowered? I understand that the S14 isn't the best bang for the buck but I think the capability of the engine is pretty damn good. The 2.5 puts out around 92 hp per liter, which is pretty damn good in my book considering it's old school racing technology from the late eighties. In a vert though I believe that a 6 cylinder car would be more desired not just for power, but weight distribution. I am no expert but a light front with a heavy rear I would think throw the weight distribution off causing the car to be less balanced. -
This damn GPS system blows. I ask for directions to the dry cleaners and all I get is some story about saving weight in a clapped out e30 vert.Leave a comment:

^ Lol shhh. I was just making fun of him. I would totally rock and Alpine '95 M3... I just think E30s are more fun. I know his vert will never live up to an E36 M3.Leave a comment:

Not an M3?
Another ineresting thread discussing non m3 motors.
Whoops, not an m3 motor either!
I can go on for days about being on one persons nuts, but not anothers...
Someone should have told this guy he didn't have a real M3 motor in his ride... Becase none of you purists were ever on his nuts back in the DTMpower days. Give me a break

Most retarted post of the day.'
Also, what is all this "real m3" BS? Looks like a pretty legit M3 to me. If any of you douchebags swapped that engine into your E30s, you would go around explaining to people you had an "e36 m3 motor" in your ride. Don't even try to say you wouldn't. The guy has two pretty cool cars by a 20 year old kids standards, the level of hate spouting in this thread is just useless. It has even gotten to the point where some of you are nitpicking about wether or not the OP is still online????? 1999 called, it wants its insults back, along with the "real M3s have 4 cylinders".
OP when I bought my car I too wanted to s-14 it. I quickly found out (8 years ago) that there really isn't a cheap way to do that. Most s-14s need a rebuild, which isn't cheap. I like the M30 idea, look at some of those verts and hardtops, that motor is off the beaten path and can be very fun to play with.
To all the haters..... you guys are trying too hard.Last edited by delatlanta1281; 05-11-2010, 07:54 PM.Leave a comment:

OK ok ok, do the right thing. Part that Avus "M3" and use the motor in your cabby! BOOM! One less car and a kick ass cabby! W00t!Leave a comment:

This isn't even hate broski, people just don't understand why you would put an underpowered 4 cylinder in a heavier platform. It won't be fast, it won't be fun, and it won't be cheap. Not to mention you will be pissing off the purists by taking the heart of the M3 and planting it into the chest of a vert.
It isn't something that anyone will think is that awesome once its done either really. Put something crazy in there like an S38 or S62 or S42 if you want everyone to shut up.Leave a comment:

Ugh, here we go again, another manic monday, socaleuro hate session. Look, I'm not the one here preaching to you how you do your stuff NOR have i been negative about a single person. I simply stated what IM doing to MY car so if were all done with the newbie bash I think it'd be appropriate for a moderator to close this thread.

Normally I don't like people who try keeping up with trends, but this case's an exception. Nice snag.Leave a comment:

Alright alright.hahahaha yeah verts are a hit or miss with most people. I just like the 4cyl idea. As far as my e36... i'll be the first to say its a slow turd lol. and the jetta... well i got it as a daily and it ended up becoming a fun car to drive so... If you think i'm being cocky or a showoff please just say it. no harm intended here guys
Then you should listen to people, and seriously don't do an s14.
I think I'd love the motor, and would definitely tell you to keep it if this was an m3... but it's not. It's just not a good value to do an s14, and the fact that it's a vert detracts a lot from an performance aspect. Honestly, it would make WAY more sense to s50 the vert and cruise it, then do something sick with the e36 imo.Leave a comment:
