My iX + what i've done so far...

Bosch euro smilies, euro grills, minty fog lights (on my 5th set, keep breaking them), lamin-x on the lights, replacement kopi turn signals (on my 3rd set with these, keep breaking them)....and reinstalled the iS lip for summer mode. Touched up the front end w/ Dr. Colorchip, this winter did a number on her =/

Also a friend of mine gave me a modified fuse that allows the fogs to come on with the city/parking lights. LOVE this mod.

Remounted the refinished Alpina's, leveled out the sag in the rear by putting thicker spring pads & Morimoto Elite 5000K HID's.

What's up bud! Yes it bolts right in but a little wiring is needed to convert ur old sealed beams or US ellipsoids to accept this. You need connectors (pigtails) to make it work which I got off eBay. Here is a DIY on it

aah cool saw that one. I've hesitated to do this because of light color and uncertainty about the beam profile after retrofit.

Sorry to be so anal but can you be really specific about which kit or set of products you ordered from Cesar at Lightwerkz? want to make sure I get the same thing.

I've already done a euro smiley conversion on my vert so not sure what else I need wiring wise. The IX I'll retrofit after the de-rusting project is over which will be a while. I may even euro bumper it, haven't decided (it's an 88 with DBs).

and since I'm being so nosy, tell me some more about the alpina offset - anything special about those wheels to get them working on the IX? spacers?

lol you're not being nosy.....here's the kit i got from Caesar. The light color output is very similar to the Osram CBI's i have in my E46 M3.....which i absolutely LOVE. Very similar to the newer Range Rovers w/ HID's you see on the road

The Alpina offset is ET28 all around, no spacers, and actually fit way better on iX's than regular E30s since go right out to the edge of the fenders.

This reallyyyyy clean iX pulled up nxt to me at the gas station by my job just now. Lady owned 5-speed, w/ koni coilovers, chip, exhaust.....the kicker was she tracks/autocrosses it! Was chit chattin' w/ her for a while, and she knows her shit! One owner, 23yrs.
