looking good man. Be careful with the large flat sides. They have a tendency to vibrate with harmonics and the welds will eventually crack. Some stakes to join the two sides helps to break up the effects of the vibration.

Thoughts on ditching the home made idea and going dbilas full ITB. I have the funds, just not sure I want to spend them.

Dbilas so sexy though... tough choice. If budget minded... I say continue on your current path. If not do the ready to go in sexiness. I don't consider it selling out if you are moving forward and saving countless time and engineering...

this is deciding factor. Its bolt on, clean, easy to work on, functional and will surely add to my engines badass factor. I enjoy building things from scratch and my current design is almost complete but the ITB idea is constantly distracting me

Finish current setup, test it out, then see how you feel=) I know someone here would definitely scoop up your DIY setup if you then decide to go the Dbilas route

Id much rather spend the coin on the kit being developed by Rama@RHD as shown on M42club. Much better than Dbilas and probably cheaper too.

You could also look into a Jenvey plenum to adapt to your manifold for baller status.

I say finish what you started, but if not, this RHD setup beats the pants off the Dbilas kit.

Not sure if the M42 dblias kit is as garbage as the M20 kit, but either way it is probably as expensive. The RHD M20 setup is amazing, and at a much lower price point than dblias setups.

Make your sheet metal intake, and if you don't like it, maybe the RHD setup will be out by then.

My thoughts is if you finish the homemade setup, and it comes out to be a good build but you dont like it enough, you can sell to one of these chumps on the board and buy what you want or, buy what you want first then sell the lesser liked of the two to a chump on the boards.

You sir are in a solid position in the world of ITB selection
