I was thinking the 3.23 or something a little more mild. It's still my only car and I don't want to kill the gas mileage.

Okay, lost my last post. I'm mad.
Anyway, ls;s:
still has a few bugs I have to figure out
I can't change oil for a week but I'm not okay with that because of all the debris floating around the engine after the swap.
Oil leak coming from something, however I really can't see.
Have polycab engine mounts and tranny mounts to put in
I'm surprised by the improvement that the stroker offers. Revving an extra 1.2k is pretty nice as well (especially having power there!)
I guess I ended up painting the car... or starting to. I got it sanded and primered, and then I opened my paint (the same color I had on the last page or this one) and it turned out to be 100% purple (violet). Not anything even remotely close to anything that's not purple. I'm irate. I can't return it (it's been too long) so what do now? Save and just finish getting it painted by someone that will at least get the color of the paint right, or just try my luck again and buy more paint? Hrmph.
Also the teeth stripped out of my tension bolt on the power steering pump so now under hard, slow turns it starts to slip. Still works; just slips. Still no AC. Belt I bought from autozone was the wrong size. Hrmph again!
I'm embarrassed to show my car now, since it's just primer and TERRIBLE body work (never let your friend who "knows how to bondo" do any work on your car.)
I'll end with a first start video:

Damn that is a bad guibo. Mine was bad because three of the mount points had actually been completely detached from the guibo. You could push them right out haha.Comment

Oh, one more thing! How can I mount the sport valence on tucked bumpers? Drill new holes in the metal bumper? Maybe I can do some sort of bracket.....Comment
-
That is what I did. You have to trim a tiny bit on each side by the bumper shrouds. I wish I could have had the stock breakaway clips...but they all broke away long before I got it.Comment

You did a bracket? I was thinking I could just get a multi-perforated metal bracket and line it up as best as possible. It would work for the sides and bumper, I believe.
You don't happen to have pictures, do you?Comment

I can't untuck the bumper to get it off to drill correctly. I can drill upside down I supposeComment

A stroker is when you replace the crank with a different stroke (longer or shorter). This is the only commuity i've seen use the term stroker for a head swap. Cause nothing was changed, only the head! For as long as i've been on here, i've never understood that....

Weird. Okay, my mistake. Stroked always meant something else anywhere else, but I assumed, because you were changing the stroke and bottom end of a b25 that would cause the usage of the word "stroker".Last edited by squidmaster; 08-31-2012, 02:06 PM.Comment
