There could be worse but your P.O. (previous owner) was pretty bad
Keep working at it man. You're doing well so far

this car just had no necessary maintenance done before I got it. The guy even told me it was a 325i... I got in, saw the cluster, and laughed.

I think I might be the first/only person using an STi fuel pump in an e30.
It's the same size, just different filter size and have to retrofit the connections. Works like a charm, doesn't use as much gas as a walbro, and is still an upgrade from stock.

Did a valve adjustment yesterday, everything at cold was .010 after we finished. Perfect fitment of the shim (just a little drag) idled like shit and died a few times. took it back apart and adjusted again after letting it cool (some were a little off somehow) and it still had the same problem. Got it up to running temp and adjusted everything to .012. All but one intake and one exhaust were perfect before. It idles now and doesn't die but it's very erratic and has more sound than before. I triple checked everything at both stone-cold and NOT and everything is perfect, so I don't understand. Going to adjust timing again soon and see if that helps.

                    Weird.

                    Cold - .010
                    NOT - .012

                    any pointers?

regarding your antenna, i recommend finding a good antenna cable.
i gutted my interior last summer and ran a new one through all the way to the back of the dash along with sub wiring.

I bought an OEM power antenna replacement off ebay. love the huge antennas. I'll rewire it when it comes in.

did the redrocket OBC temp sensor replacement today, but I have two finals I am studying for and doing projects, so....

picking up an m20b25 on monday though :)

Got everything together on the 2.7i! Waiting for the 325i afm to come in, though :(

Not bad. It was too dark once I finished so it's not cleaned up at all and I'm too embarrassed to show you. Maybe I have a phone picture.

good job man. you're going to love the increase in power. you might want to pick up a 3.73 LSD now that you have a bigger rpm range.
