The jury is still out on the 4.10.

1st gear goes up in smoke quick if I'm too heavy on the throttle. I can be cruising in 2nd and punch it, and acelleration can kinda suck because I'm getting wheel spin. Not enough to squeel, but enough that you can feel the aceleration being lost to lack of traction.

This is with 245's out back...

I forget where it was but a looong time ago there was an article on how people think they are saving gas with certain driving styles when they were not. I *think* the results showed the most efficient way to drive was part throttle and using all gears or something like that.

              << terrible memory.

the most efficient point for any engine is the 500rpm zone right before the power kicks in.

an older tired/broken in engine is more efficient than a new one.

partial throttle is better than full throttle.

that being said, I'm still driving normal and getting an ave of 28mpg.
Gas prices suck, to bad. USA has been spoiled for to long. Time to show who can really afford all the toys they own. :P

gassing it and coasting for quite a ways is seeming to work well. Gas money for the trackday next friday is gonna suck!

I just have a hard time believing that you spin second from a roll, thats all.

Have a hard time with it all you want. I have a 6 puck metallic unsprung clutch. It isn't slipping.

                      Nice "meat" shot.

Thats correct. Oversize for a e30, but stock 96+ e36 M3 size. Thats where the tires/wheels came from sooo.

What paint design did you decide on for the ///M on the calipers? Hopefully black, those will really stand out with the CSL reps on there.

And you need something up front on the bumper...looks much emptier than black bumper strip does. Euro plate, eh, meh, maybe. Or just cover up those license plate holes.
