the rain was horrible yesterday! it cleared up when we approached Portland so we got lucky there, but it was raining again on the way home. lame...

Seemonya!! don't be disappointed by those numbers bro - it's still a good start.. it's gonna be that much sweeter when you're all done with the motor and you have some good gains to be happy with...
.. and as always, waiting for that photoshoot - like old times

update time: since im getting new wheels this weekend I figured it would be a good time to fix the front spoiler so the car overall looks good.

heres the materials to help me get there

              spoilermaterials by 2mAn

              stripped down

              spoilerbefore by 2mAn

              sanded down

couple areas im worried wont come out too good

overall im not expecting much from this. the whole lower part of the spoiler is scratched pretty bad, both corners are cracked and theres a nice crack down the middle. regardless, im going to try my best to make it look good until a closer inspection. but this will need to be completed before friday, so im going to work on it each night. tomorrow will probably be primer and sanding day, then thursday will be the red and clearcoat.

once this is all done, i plan on buffing out the paint to make it shine as best as a 25 year old paint job can. then im pretty much done looks wise. there will still be minor changes, but overall. this is it.

I'll never understand why people use their cars as tables, especially for things like paint cans and metal brackets that can scratch the piss out of it.

relax, its not like i sanded the hood down. it was actually a jedi mind trick so that you'd see the before of the paint ;) just so you know, im actually using my jettas trunk lid as the table for sanding the parts down, but its getting a whole new paintjob when its done and it wont be anytime soon... carry on...

Crono, how many miles do you have? I had 211k when I dyno'd.

I'll get better pictures when its day time, but for now enjoy this pic. Pretty much done looks wise, but I really need to polish up the paint.

I thought I had posted these pics, but it looks like I forgot to. I was in California for thanksgiving and drove down from Seattle. Its about 850 miles to my parents house from Seattle, but I ended up putting 3000 miles on my car in the 10 days I was on vacation. I drove to LA and met up with a longtime friend and we took our E30s on Mulholland Dr and he helped give Cindy some love. Enjoy the pics, Im not a good photographer by any means and these were all taken with a brand new camera that I have no idea how to use.

A nice lil road in the middle of CA, Highway 25 aka Airline Highway. (notice the sign)

This would've been a much better shot had it not been for the direct sunlight in my face.

I really need to polish the paint, the front spoiler already looks right at home with a shitload of rock chips in it :)

my buddy Andy sent me a few pics from my trip to LA. most are similar to the ones I took on Mulholland, but he did get this while we were rolling on the freeway
