Nice looking swap, might want to move that battery to the trunk to help balance out the extra weight you have up front now. I have a M52 in mine and I love it. If you get a Miata battery it will fit in the side pocket where the later model E30s have them. Our 84s dont have the larger cutout for a normal battery, but the Miata fits like its meant to be there.Simon

swapped the early 318i calipers to 325i along with steel braided lines and rotors.
on the 45mm housing it's a direct swap.
the wheel bearings on the 318i will work but i don't think it's the best solution. the 325i rotor is thicker at the pad surface as well as at the hub so there is less hub lip. Doesn't lead to catastrophic failure but it's not the way the car was designed and it makes for a pain when putting the wheel on since there's less lip to center it on to.
Secondary note, the enkei 92's don't clear this setup. Makes contact with the caliper and requires 3-5mm spacer.
I'll be switching to the larger 51mm housings so i can use the correct hub/bearing.
On the hunt for a rear disc setup too. It's not the stopping power I'm looking for, I'm more interested in quick and easier brake pad changes.Last edited by glnr13; 07-22-2014, 01:42 PM.sigpic
