I really don't like the Baur models, just cause every single cabrio that was officially produced here, is a Baur from first production right to the end of production... all I wish for is a proper cabrio, just so much sexier... Not many of them rolling around South Africa, all the proper cabrio E30's r imported from the UK

I bought the baur for some reasons:
1- It´s cheaper than the cabrio
2- More exclusive
3- I like the 2 options cabrio.
In a sunny day, i can ride the car with the back cover down, and with my head covered by the roof, or:

Or, top off, and the back up, like a targa.
In my opinion, the cabrio is more elegant, but the baur is also beautiful.
And my baur has the M20b23 engine.
Today (i hope) it will be the last ady in the shop.
Yesterday he was being tuned up.
the previous owner, by mistake, put some diesel on it...
and yesterday after the big revision, it was time to start it up, and tune it.
So many smoke because of the diesel on the exhaust... it look like almost an old train. Damn it, the mechanic said that after a good ride, and the exhaust warm, all the residues of the diesel will be burned away from the exhaust and the smoke will stop.
Now it´s time to enjoy it.
A big detailled work will be done on that poor baur. He had been neglected over the years by previous owners.
