ooh hey...
If you can't afford real m3.....you can make your junk look like one
ok, actually long time ago I started thinking about that...putting m3 bumpers on regular e30. I searched on google a lot, and actually there was maybe one, two cases, but without pics, If I remember right. (road cars, not racecars)
and then... not so long ago I accidentally on some stance video found this car, and then I knew, fck it, let's try this shit :D
I don't know, I like
and this car even have stock wheelarches..Im going to widening them.
so, bumpers came in
now kinda test fitted only front bumper
this shows how wider m3 fenders are. Im going to get that vide...will see
yeeeaaaah :D:D
more, soon....I hope

I know of quite a few e30 Racing (similar to Spec e30 or Pro3 in the US) race cars down here in Australia that run fibreglass replicas of the M3 front bar that are modified to fit the non-M e30.
That could be what is on the red car?

I've always liked the idea of M3 bumpers on a standard e30 and the example you have posted looks well done.Last edited by spanish pants; 11-30-2017, 08:33 AM.My new E34 525i Sport Limousine Blog

Nice to see some more progress! Was there any M3 replica bumper for non-M3s?
Waht is your plan on the fender widening?
Keep it up!
I had plan on fender widening yeah, but now i don't know actually what to do :D
I have some old front wings, first I will try to do something on them, and then ruin good ones :D
made adjustable rear subframe for my e36 compact, so thinking about making another one for my e30, to get more traction, because last year it was very tail happy with 215 tires.....I have to say 3rd gear manyi is fun though... :D:D
I think pretty good for the first one..
made guides and bought screws from e39
one by one getting in place
..trust me, i'm an engineer
also reinforced arm fixing points
lot of angle grinder work
...Im just learning
after that, sandblasted and powder coated
that's all for now...e30 is just still standing at garage :( :DLast edited by abit; 01-06-2018, 02:44 AM.

HO HO HOOOO...
more than year since last update about car...unfortunately nothing has changed, car is standing in garage since june month.
so lets start chronologically.
after winter break found this beauty in garage....as you can see, bumpers is not on car, but still on roof rack as before winter :D
some small test drive, to remind my self the poweeeeeeeer of m20b30...good power actually
oil change, this time LiquiMoly
had some issues with electricity, some poltergeist hided in my fuse box..but pretty fast found the fault. Car had ignition ON even without key. big + wire that is screwed to box plate was started to touch one wire next to it, so give electricity in short cut.
more cruisin, one pic with mates old-timer e28
.....and then it all went in loong hibernation
It was time to MOT, I knew that my rear inner arches needs some work, so started war with rust...
first I cut out rear wheel arch...no big thing..
hmmm, battery trunk looks not good as well....so more cutting.. :D
then I crashed my spoort compact, so I had to repair it first, and e30 went to the second plan.
hit concrete/metal barrier with rear, bent subframe, subframe mounts, control arm, broke diff, both axle drive shafts....
ONBOARD:
both together :D
after few moths had some free time, so second try :D
barn find...
as the car tail panel was not in the best shape, decided to change it.
quick test fit.
ahh yes, m bumpers gone...not this time.
also looks good on e36
ok then, no more cutting, drilling, let's start to weld something back.
test test test...
mores test fit :rippedoff:
should be ok.. so removed transport primer from details, and primed with anti rust primer.
also primed all contact surfaces between panels.
tail part in, and welded.
hope it will be ok
so next outer wheel arch
done!
woop woop
all primed, hope to continiue soon

when your car is far from ready for new season you do what!?
something veery important..
updated instrument cluster :D
ordered chrome rings, painted black, plus ordered new colour for needles.
from red to orange'ish
Im very happy about result, rings give nice view.
and of course test... first start in about 6 months...ohhh, I want to take it outside and give full throttle :(:D
dat sound!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwtOgkQo4jM
actually one side done, I mean wheel arch, pain in the ass was to make inner arch from scratch.. that corner for fuel filler, place for battery, etc.mehhh
some random shot
tested 215/45, wont fit :D
I will put bit smaller spacers (now 20mm) and arch will be bit rolled, but close to oem look.
thats all for now.
