So your girl roommate had an e30 before you did? haha jk It's been 3yrs since I left Chicago and don't miss it one bit. Too freaking cold.

Nice car though and like the way you are doing the maintenance first.

Thanks! Yeah I definitely do not like the cold, but it certainly makes you appreciate summer a helluva lot more.

      Oh and different roommate

I'd say its about time for an update. Nearly forgot about this thread.
Plans have changed a bit in the last few months and i've ran into a couple setback, but things are going well now and this winter is looking promising.
The 2 door is now the dedicated weekend car and the 4-door is strictly the daily, although i do switch it up from time to time to liven up the commute.
Squirtle (the 2 door) has undergone a bit of weightloss as i've stripped the interior completely minus the dash and front center console section as its not a race car just yet.. I installed the Sparcos using Massive's kit and also had a harness bar made up and installed for me by Corwell Customs in Naperville.

The Daily received the interior transplant and looks and feels so much better. Still looking for a decent m-tech 1 wheel, but that can wait until after the manual swap.
I bought IE3s with e90 hats and bilsteins and successfully lowered my winter car, then decided it wasn't low enough so I cut half a coil off each end of the front springs, you know, because stance is cool and stuff.

And as if lowering it wasn't enough, I managed to find a volvo lip at the junk yard to make it a snow plow, we'll see how that works out for me...

I ran IE springs with 1 full coil cut. Handling on fwy was awesome. Street handling sucked balls. Seed bumps were the worst.

The upper spring perch (e90 drop hat) moves with the strut bearing allowing the spring to move with the strut when making a turn. Since it is both a lowering spring and a cut spring, I just have to make sure it seats properly when lowering it from a lift to be sure the springs don't get cocked sideways.
I'll try to remember to take pics net time I have it on a lift

Anyways.. Snapped a couple iphone pics today after work...

Curious if anyone has any experience with an e60 545 shift lever in their e30. I just picked up a G260 and will be swapping into the 4 door in the near future.

And a little update with the 2 door, still working on gathering turbo parts (just got my 60# injectors in the mail) but I took it out autocrossing on Sunday. It was an absolute blast. I went with my friend who has an e39 540 and i managed to beat him by .700 of a second comparing out best times. I was running toyo r888s on the rear and would've been running them all the way around if i had test fit the rims earlier (bought them from a friend the night before the event) the fronts were hitting on the strut and probably would've cleared with a 5mm spacer. oh well it was still a great time. Sorry guys no vids :/

With this being my first event i was totally unprepared, but next time will go much more smoothly. Any ideas for tire transport to the event? I'm thinking a custom-ish roof rack so i can mount the track wheels up top and have room for the jack, impact gun, ect in the trunk. I can't get tires to fit in the rear seat due to the harness bar and seats. The trunk would only be able to fit two 15x8s and it'd be too tight for much anything else.
