The seats look fine, like you said they're much better than old
worn out leather, as for the box, sealed boxes are the way to go,
whoever said band pass ftw is an idiot, bandpass boxes are swap meet
      specials.

looks good, and glad to hear the seats are functioning great! I have to agree, I would never own anything other than a sealed box. car looks nice.

asubimmer is a retard.. I don't get why everyone bags on your seats either, I think they look great.

also, sterling silver is good at hiding flaws - my car is covered in dents, scratches and rock chips, but everyone always asks me how my car looks like it's brand new.

I've had ported (shite), bandpass (double shite), and sealed boxes. Sealed is THE ONLY way to accurately reproduce bass across the lower-end spectrum. So don't mind the haters, sealed will always sound better than the competition (as long as you have the extra power to push the sub).

That's a pretty broad statement. My sealed box has one 10" JL audio
sub and it sounds good with all types of music including hip hop. Even though I listen to mostly rap/hip hop, I would never waste my money on
a band pass box, to me it's fake bass and overly boomy.

I don't think you got what I was saying.

When people don't bother setting up the subs to sound "tight", it's because they're just listening to hip-hop loudly through cheap equipment in ratty, $500 cars. I wasn't saying all hip-hop listeners prefer boomy bass.

boxes depend on what you are listening to or pref. There is no "right" box for everyone...IE like sealed's are the best end of story.

But didnt you say earlier his box was crappy because it wasn't bandpass?

                      You suck.

Bandpass boxes generally suck too and are hard to build properly.

                      Sold it.

Seats look good. They look a whole lot more modern after being recovered. When you ditch the headrests they will look good. I wish I could get a set for my car, need money!

So now your doing the 6 speed conversion? lol. Your center console looks like it wants so e36 window switches. Other than that it looks good.

I've been wanting to go back to a single 12 in my trunk. I took out my box with 2, and havent missed it at all, so dont know if I'll put one in or not. Freakin people, just cause the box doesnt look like it came off the shelf doesnt mean it dont work. I've built some pieces of shit, and I've built some good boxes (visual wise) and they both worked well. You get much trunk rattle?

That box doesnt look bad... Its just not covered. My box isnt covered. Honestly, Who gives a shit? TJ, I bet you are busy and dont have enough motivation to actually cover it or anything. The sub/amp in my car isnt covered or anything either. The wiring is a mess. Do I care? Nope. Car looks good man.

I definately want some E36 switches, I am just waiting for the right deal. I don't think they are worth $40+, but thats the market price. If anything I'd buy them new on BMA because the switches are only $18 each on there. Find an E36 and cut the wiring....

Thanks Will, nobody sees the trunk anyways so whenever I get a chance I'll build the false panel but I'm not really in a hurry.

Like it TJ. Why the switch from the corbeau's again?

I have loads of uncovered boxes that people don't like because they aren't carpeted.
Go let these idiots keep their 1/2" particle board bandpass boxes with cheap carpet that will peel up, I'll stick with boxes I built and know for a fact sound good.

By the way: I have ported boxes that will give a good definition of what tight & punchy is, and I have sealed boxes that sound like REALLY loud muddled BOOMS. Boxes have so many veriables, going by the type of box is like saying "honda's are slow". Anything done right will work right, anything done by idiots will probably suck.
Car audio is so hit and miss, numbers or names don't really matter. If it sounds good it serves its intended purpose.
