The good thing is i only payed 1400 for the car (after budgeting 2000) so I'm almost half way to a swap if I ignore suspension and wheels. I'm currently leaning towards an M30 cuz I can get one in June and pull it apart to make sure everything's good and have it in the car by August.

Yea you pretty much are you would have a stock looking sleeper haha. The good thing about m30's is they are in so many cars I bet a junkyard by you has one right now.

Yea, but I'd have one hell of a sleeper with an S52. "Oh it's just a 325e, those things only have like 120hp." *blows away from them* "uhh... That's not an M20 in there." Lol

Yea but less power. Most m50's dyno around 150-160 stock and I think m52's are like 170, but they are 24v....

I know people who run about 225 out of their M52s with S52 cams, exhaust and a tune.

Yea I thought about doing that when I was questioning doing a m5x swap. I just decided to do a m30 cause it's 215 out of the box.

save your money on the wheels. a lowered E30 on bottlecaps looks good. another member (LateFan) has a zinno ES that he just lowered on the H&R and bilstein combo IIRC and it looks good. Im biased though because I hate BBS wheels. PITA to clean. get the mechanicals done, and suspension counts as mechanical, wheels not so much.

Im biased though because I hate BBS wheels. PITA to clean. get the mechanicals done, and suspension counts as mechanical, wheels not so much.

My dad is "buying" my bottlecaps off me because he needs sitting wheels for the racecar for when it's not at the track, he doesn't want to use the ones it on now because they rub both strut housings and all are bent, he wants to chuck em. So he's gonna give me $125 for em and I'll buy some euro weaves if I can find some. Plus I don't like bottlecaps. So I think on some euros and suspension is cheap and looks nice, then once I do that, pick up a 3.73 LSD (to get rid of my 2.93 open) and fix my shifter (my dad said he'd take care of that for me) I'm gonna save up for my motor swap, and then I'm gonna try and see if I can sell my M20B27 to get some cash back on the deal, even if it is only a couple hundred bucks. And quick question for EuroE30, did your G260 bolt straight up to the M30? And can you run the M20 clutch on it? Or should I upgrade it, I was thinking about grabbing an E36 M3 clutch, just because I know it can handle any power I throw at it.

LOL, appreciate it. And she definitely is a great platform to build off of especially how much I managed to grab her for. I will treat her right I promise. Going to try to keep her respectable and proper while still wicked and powerful. The ultimate DD car.

yeah that's what mine is being used for right now. DD. The eta motor is nice because its somewhat decent mpgs. Just keep her classy. (no late model bumper stuff. lol.) Early models, look sooooo much better with euro bumps. :)

I plan on going with Euros, assuming I can find some, and they aren't astronomically expensive. I will be making runs to the local junk yard for a list of things, euros are among them.
