call and ask. i just bought a new one cuz it was cheap and quicker than waiting for shipping to them, processing and return shipping of the proper harness.

No I remember that and I could have swore I ordered that one because I remember looking up what canbus was

Fuck it, it's not our daily drive anyway so I'll just wait for the exchange.

Set up a dialogue with someone at TRS and review your order. If it was their mistake they'll make it right at no cost to you. Their customer service is great that way.

Trying to do the oil change now and the freakin filter is stuck. I've tried the claw wrench, tension wrench, putting a screw driver through it. It's just not moving.

Was the engine warmed up? Also, try some WD or PB Blaster...

Talked to TRS and they guy said that they did it by application and the moto bi xenon unit is what I should be using on the e30 not the separate can bus. so I guess I'll just be wiring that up. he said its' better because the power comes straight from the batter rather than through the older headlight wires.

Interesting. When i explained my situation and what they would be used for they made no mention of that. I see their point, although i have not noticed the wiring getting any hotter than it did with sealed beams. Considering that the sealed beams actually use more wattage at operating temps than the 35w HIDs, im not surprised.

Then again, since the DEPOs aren't bi-xenon, the moto-control unit may be overkill and/or superfluous.

Good thing i still have the HD relay harness...let me know how it goes when you wire yours up.

                    Please don't paint it!

Eh, you don't really care about my internet opinion anyway.

Wiring this up is a pain. I can't get them to come on. The he unit is connected to the battery and the ground is set but they still won't come on. I flipped the connection to the ballast as well so it wasn't the easy fix.

Not sure if I need to switch the stock harness pins

Evandael, you're right, I don't care about your opinion considering you're telling me to keep a paint job that's 5 different shades of red and pink.

It would seem my problem was with the grounding points. The video didn't show exactly where you had grounded both of yours. Would you mind taking a pic? Just tried hooking mine up again and couldn't get them to fire up...
