You don't seem like you know much about automotive mechanics at all, if you did you would know that excessive amounts of piping is highly ineffecient in ANY turbo system, and not just for spool up time, there is a multitude of problems, pressure drop, etc... you better screen the scroll inlet/outlet to prevent undercar road debree from mangleing your compressor blades. I don't see any reason to do this. You probly added a lot of weight to your car, and lightness is one of the 318is's weapons.

Oh yeah, your wheels are hideous.

No doubt. WRX owns fear the pressure loss from switching to an FMIC from the stock top mount and the only adds a couple feet of piping!

rear mounted turbos work differently than all you guys think, a long time ago i was tought about this, i forget all the details, but if you look into it more, rear mounted turbos are actually a very good way to turbo a car. that said... not this car, and not the way you did it. but props for trying something new.

Yes dan, in a rear, and or mid engined car!

God... what morons... look into it some more, do some research. STSTurbo is making a huge fucking name for itself and every review of its products has been glowing. In case you are all to lazy in that respect

            SpeedTV Commercial
            Single Turbo 2005+ Mustang

Typical remote mounts are due to confined under hood compartments, and the expense of custom manifolds, as well as a shit load of other things. These bolt on kits have been in Chevy magazines and SpeedTV Shows going on in as little as 4-5hrs and putting an additional 44% at the rear wheels at only 6.5 psi! This is verified from non-STS sources. The additional piping actually acts as an intercooler and pressure drop is actually less than a massive intercooler of equal volume. If the housing is sized correctly then turbo lag is equal to or less than convential turbo mounting.

Eric... congrats on thinking outside the box. I'm sure I'm joining you on the flame stand but next time I'm up near Canada I'll have to give you a visit.

Jesus people... know what the fuck you are talking about before you open your mouths.

Regardless of the engineering theory in mind, that car is retarded.

You guys did a very nice job on the piping. What type of piping? I would've tried to put the bracket loops on the top so that you didn't lose additional clearance.

Assuming that your connections and piping is good, I don't see why you should see a big drop in pressure.

One step at a time, I'm sure you'll figure something out for the suspension.

What is the third pipe for??? Just suck the crap in at the rear.

The piping is just 2.5inch stainless steel pipe...and the third pipe on the right is the exhaust..its whats driving the turbo......and UFLNUCENG thx for the compliment, really appreciate it...and yea alot of them dont know what there talkin about thx for telling them whats up

                      Welcome,

Although i will agree that I hope you have a fresh suspension components, even if you are riding stock height, and those wheels aren't to my liking but that is opinion...

With all the custom tubing you did I would think you could have made hangers to use the stock mount spots... tucking it up a bit more and not having those hanger bracets could get it high enough to run a slightly sportier suspension.

And I'm sure you are using a filter... what size?

I'm going to call BS on this turbo car, not because I don't think that it won't work, but because the execution of the system borders somewhere between retarded and 'special'
