I was chilled until I was accussed of whining. No, by my logic a swap is fine. Want more power than the engine you have? Use a BMW engine. A nissan motor isnt needed to make power. Btw, I could be wrong , but I doubt all things being equal an m20 would make as much power as an s50. Now, I know your used to waking up with a dick in your ass, but dont assume we all do. I was never angry about this topic until the personal attacks. Go fuck yourself.

Different motors have different sounds, potential, weight, ect. Someone might like the chassis dynamics and looks of an e30, but love the sound and power delivery of an LS1. Or a Rotary (which are light as fuck and would make for awesome weight distribution)

Main reason is preference. Pure and simple.

With your logic, any engine swap is pointless, even an s50 in an e30. Pointless because you could get s50 power out of an m20, so why swap it? Better, funner, more efficient, love of the game, love of a certain power plant etc.

Oh and for a lil romper, look what I had for a while... Rotary in an e30.

I hate rotaries, but if people want to put a weed wacker motor into their E30s - more power to them!

Still waiting for a valid reason.

I ended up with Euro S50B30 power for 1/5th of the price.
Its no heavier and in fact better weight distribution than the 6cyl.
It has more down low torque than S50B30eu
Sounds ridiculously good at WOT.
When I blow up an engine it costs me 1/5th of the cost to rebuild/replace.
It is a FUCKLOAD of fun to drive.
It gets better MPG than my M20 did.
Its more environmentally friendly (that ones for Herb ;) )

If I was rich, it would be S54 all the way. Then again if I was rich I wouldn't be fucking around with E30 haha.

1/5 the price of what? rebuilding an m20? I could do an s54, but instead I've decided to swap an s14 in place of my m20. Wont be finished til next spring.

S54 isn't that expensive. You just need to think outside the box.

Its about $9000 according to Ryan. And he did all the work himself. I dont know how you would do it cheaper.
