clean guys!!!
what should i cover up when cleaning my engine bay?
degreaser and a light rinse and use a cloth to wipe off dirt correct?1986 325e ( baur project)

You really don't want to get your Alternator, or Distributor Cap. Most electrical connections are somewhat weatherproof, but I wouldn't put a pressure washer to them. If you do it wrong, you might be stuck for awhile as your electrical components dry out, ask me how I know.Comment

While i have to admit that last pic was a bit far fetched, and he hasn't done some basic mods that all M42 guys do, I have contemplated machining my M42 valve cover with the MPower logo. Not that the ITBs i just picked up will give it S engine status, but they do get it a little closer. Missing my build

I like the clean shave/tuck/removal look but it would be boring if everyone did that and it would really loose its appeal.Zinno '89 <24v swap in progress>

M20s are just messy looking motors in general. Even with a shaved/tucked engine bay the entire intake just looks messy.-AlexComment

Not mine, but my next E30 will have an engine bay somewhere in the same realm as a local's.
