I wanted an easy mod, this was literally on & off on my '90 cabrio.
This white fukker is killing me, maybe the red one was like my kid since we had it from new & this one is a pita on everything because it is like an evil stepkid that is saying you aren't my Dad.
Good thread, man! For the tail lights, try REALLY pressing the bulb in. My right front signal bulb blinks and everything, but it sometimes gets a little loose, and makes the right blinker fast (like they do when a bulb is out). The fix for me is to take the bulb out, and REALLY put it back in.
It's good to see you're treating this car right. keep it up!
I like it also, Ryan includes the self tapping screws & is great to deal with.
Get you one!! :P
Rear Konis, (fronts backordered) CSB, rear shifter mount, guibo, bolts and ONE fucking nut (yes I ordered all 6) just came, called the provider, they closed at 5 est. Shouldn't places with country wide exposure at least be avalalble until 5 pacific?
Hahaha, the car is looking pretty good. Maybe mask and dye/paint the border on the back window. I thought mine looked bad back when I got it, but this one takes the cake. Poor car.
Well, it looks miles better than when you started so in time that destroyed anus looking back window should be taken care of too.
to fix the rear window for the time being, here is what i would do:
get blue painter's tape(or green). do a good job masking the edge of the top and about 3/8" inside the rear window. go buy some black silicone in a full size caulk tube with a caulk gun. put a slightly thicker bead all the way around and over the top of that shitty clear job. smooth the bead down with your finger and get the tape off before the sealant cures. you will have to work fast with the silicone. because once it starts curing, it will be a mess. this is how i do a pretty professional job of caulking in bathrooms of the renovations i sometimes do.
Thanks for the ideas, I "blacked out" the chrome (looks meh) with a gigantic industrial Sharpie and while I was there did the silicon. Looks better but the bar is pretty low.
