    Story behind the car:
Originally purchased sight un-seen on eBay from its 2nd owner in late 2009. I hopped a flight to AZ and the owner was nice enough to pick me up from the airport. From there I drove the car back to San Diego.
The Turbo engine is the original block and head that came in the car. Total build time was about 5 years from start to running finish. The engine just turned over 1000 miles today 5/16/17 Although my build goals slightly changed over the years I have always wanted to achieve a respectively quick street-able e30. The M42 was staying from the beginning and the initial goal was 300 HP. While the engine will produce the output goal its completely unnecessary for street use so I've toned it down to keep proper balance. I use the car now for commuting to work and running errands. It is not daily driven. After its all said and done the car is fast, quite and still comfortable to drive.

I think this was the first 318iS M42 that I have driven back in the day in Van Nuys before it was turbocharged. It has come a long way. Congrats.
