    My E30 Turbo Frankenmotor Restomod

I think I'm far enough along now to start a build thread to document my project of two years now. My plan is to continue to update the thread as I have time. But stay tuned, this one won't fade into the abyss as it's already running and driving!

I'll do my best to document all the details and uphill battles in future posts in the thread. Here's the basic breakdown of the car to get this thread started:

1990 coupe shell-up restoration painted in BMW San Marino Blue with custom flares welded in
    Fully built Frankenmotor
    GTX3582R turbo
    Custom 3" turbo-back exhaust
    E46 M3 6-speed trans
Z3M rear end (axles, trailing arms)
    Large case diff (210mm)
Nasieg 5-lug with E36 M3 brakes all around
    17" Apex ARC-8 wheels, 8.5" front (235/40/17), 9.5" rear (275/40/17)
    22RPD OBD2 stock ECU tune

Car made 596 whp on the dyno last week spinning tires from 120 mph to 138 mph on a conservative tune. Trying to tame some boost creep issues right now and have a few ideas in mind to help with that.

Here are a few pics of the car as it sits now. The last two are videos taken during dyno tuning last week. Still some work to do, but she's well on her way.

Wow I love that blue! This seats a pretty cool looking too. I can’t even imagine what that power would feel like in an e30.
Also 275’s in the back that’s so wide those don’t rub at all?

The flares help with that. I also have the back set up decently high and made some much larger shock bump stops out of UHMW tube. Either need a stickier tire or a wider tire. It spins em up pretty easily.

Hey Simon, yeah I agree about the Mtech lower. I was on the fence about it because I wasn't sure how it'd turn out but I'm happy with it. I think it helps that the side moldings are shaved. Good in-between look I think.

Ok guys I was hoping to have more updates to my thread by now but school started back up and is keeping me busy. I promise to throw some early stage of the build up this weekend. For now here's a teaser of my new wastegate dump tube progress.
