Once thing that I have noticed with the car is that the braking feels better. This could just be finally getting the bias sorted out, or the splitter/wing keeping the car stuck to the road, and pointing straight. I'm not too sure which it is.
Today I picked up my wheels and assembled them. I still need to torque them to spec and add a silicone bead on the edges, but I ran out of time before having to head into work.

I like the way the centers came out, but I'm bummed that the waffles couldn't be finished in the same way. Someday I'll probably take the wheels to a paint shop and ask them if they can match the centers & waffles. At the moment the waffles wouldn't even fit because of the studs, so not a big deal right now.

But it looks like I might have been a bit generous with my measurements a couple of weeks ago. I sure hope I can trim away at the flares enough to get them to fit!

Sticks out a bit. These are 10.5 inches wide, and the tires should be 10.8 inches wide. So I don't have much chance for stretch. Looks like I'll have to do a good amount of trimming soon!

Here is the rear trailing arm to wheel clearance. I might have to bend that lip in a bit once I put the tires on.

I'd assume that the wheels are the prettiest thing on the car now... :(

Just a quick update.
I mounted the front wheel to see if I really really suck at measuring things, or just really suck. It looks like this wheel fits better, but I'm still going to have to cut the bejesus out of the fenders, and probably bang in the firewall some more too.
Man, I need to clean my garage!

A little plug too... I've been buying a lot of junk from VAC recently, and everything, I mean EVERYTHING I've received from them has been top shelf stuff. For example, these spacers are probably the nicest spacer's I've owned. Currently I have 6 other sets of spacers, and non are as nice as these
nice little detail.

Easy to read specs. These are 20mm btw.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
