    Story behind the car:
I had been looking for an E30 for a long time, and missed out on a really good, clean M3 shortly before coming into ownership of this 318is, but thats a story for another day.

After scouring Kijiji / Craigslist for months, I posted a WTB ad on Kijiji as a last ditch effort. 3 weeks later I get a message from a very sweet lady saying she had a red coupe e30 she wanted to sell, but hadn’t listed it online anywhere yet. Long story short, she let her son drive the car one night and he got pulled over for “accidentally” chirping the tires around a corner in town. The cop threw the book at him and gave him MULTIPLE tickets for stunt driving, endangering the public, etc…so as punishment she told her son that she was selling the car. She wanted the car to go to an enthusiast and someone who would take care of it, and not some young teenager that would wreck it. We met locally, did a test drive and 15 minutes later it was mine. One of those “as soon as I saw it I knew I was buying it” situations.

The car came with some good paperwork, and after reviewing the past ownerships I learned that the car was originally ordered in Ontario, Canada from new and has remained in the province ever since, through its 5-6 previous owners.

Due to a previous owner being meticulous and caring, the car was under-sprayed early in its life, and rarely winter driven. The normal rust under the car is non-existent. Only one small circle under the battery box, but other than that its spotless (rust wise) underneath.

I’ve owned the car since August 2016 and absolutely love it. Once a week it gets driven the 160km round trip commute I have for work, and once a month a bunch on locals and me do a BMW cruise for a day to get coffee, food, etc.

Eventually I would like to give the car a respray in Brillantrot, along with a full refresh of the drivetrain (including some go fast goodies for the M42) and suspension maintenance. I foresee this car remaining with me for a long time, unless the right opportunity comes up to get into the right M3 in the future.
