This was my next project. Still is in a way. I'll be using an m50 maf, just not on an m20, 8)
I'll bet your pretty happy with your motor. I picked up a 3.25 LSD for mine which helped a bit, but didnt give me the "OMG this is the best mod for an ETA" kinda feel like most people say. I have 2 cylinders leaking above spec past the rings, so my 2.7 projects are over for now.Old and improved:

Ya I love it, with the hot cam, it realy is only happy if you give it some gas of the line. But man it takes of quick, I currently have a 3.73 open in it, and break the BFG g-sports loose way to easily. I'm going to start looking for a limited slip, the 3.25 was just too low geared, I'm thinking maybe a 3.91 will be perfect  :crazy:85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

How does your setup compare to a unichip? So you did the tuning? or did you get it tuned by a shop? Have you dyno it yet?Comment

I'm not familuar with the unichip, I did the tuning my self, it wasn't hard at all. The apexi unit is so easy to use, and on the fly adjustments are no problem. I've been driving the car all around the last 3 days, everything from steep mtns to interstate. And it's been running just fine under every condition. Found something interesting today, I set the apexi to measure Air flow, throttle, and rpm's At 6400 rpm's and 100% throttle, Maf was only flowing 51% of it's capacity according to the Apexi, where as before with the AFM it was 100% @ even lower then 6400 rpm's. If the Apexi is reading the air flow correctly, that's almost twice and airflow improvement from swapping to the MAF.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

If your sending out 2.5v into the stock ecu for a air flow that used to be 4,9v the load input is wrong and the timing will be off, i.e advanced for alot less load (less air) and thus might be to advanced,Gunni

fuel pressure right now is in the ~40 psi range. The apexi could very well be reading the MAF's output wrong, as it just reads the output voltage, and compares it I believe a 5v scale, it could be comparing it to a 12 volt scale. I'll mess around with it some more sometime.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker
