Go sell your knock-off shit somewhere else. Preferably to those in loony bins looking to clang aluminum junk together for the noise.

From a salesperson standpoint, whoever it was from IE or whatnot, but they in two posts pulled off sounding like DPI.

Now, I'm only speaking from the posts, and I haven't seen enough IE components to pass judgment either.

I think whomever that was should come back thru and recant/reitterate their intent. Otherwise, they sound rather like a ranty-youngin'.

I looked through our records on my own time and found no order for pistons. I did however find an order for a custom cam (as mentioned above) but that would not have lead to an engine failure unless there was user error, not only that how can we be blamed for this if he had already been driving the car and had dyno'd the car.

if you do not want to do business with us, thats you're choice.

I don't think the point of this thread was to blame IE - how could he know if he hasn't torn it down yet? But he mentioned that IE screwed up his pistons years ago (lonng before you were into the scene I'm sure) and it sort of turned into a discussion about the level of quality coming out of IE.

I have bought a few things from IE and had no issues. The flamer that claims hes from IE obviously is an EX-employee or not an employee for IE at all. You guys are silly to boycot a good vendor. I highly recommend IE products to anyone i know who owns an E30... Don't 90% of E30 track cars run IE race springs? (the other 10% run coil overs) I vote we rename this thread FLAME A GOOD VENDOR HERE.

I realize that, I was just stating what I had found on record.

Sorry for your troubles Matt. Hope it is not a major failure.

See our problem is we walk people by the hand to much. I fully understand if something was are fault we should fix it,BUT! not if we ordered something a customer asked for. I am goint to look into this claim and see what is excactly this issue here now if I come to the conclusion that IE isn't at fault I will then get back on here and let everyone know how things turned out to be reason is I think when people get on this forums and just rip on all these shops sucks specially when they don't even know for certain what the issue really is. Nevertheless, I am sorry for what happened and hope you come to your conclusion soon one other thing our pistons aren't made in "CHINA" they are Ross pistons or Maxil please get your homework down before typing have a great night.

                      Best Regards

Nice second post. The third one was not much better. I hope you don't speak for IE because if yours is their voice I can see why they have such a poor reputation.

If you feel the maturity level here is lacking I suggest you leave.

Ok, so lets say its not IE's problem, theyre not at fault. Lets give them the benefit of the doubt. How much GOOD would it have done to be as polite, and helpful as possible. Shit, even selling new pistons at cost, or giving them to him in exchange for the potentially fucked ones, right off the bat. It would have seemed stand up, really. Then the owner of this car that everyone knows on here, who is friends with the site owner(s) would even go and hype up IE. Giving them a nice reputation in this broke ass community, so more people would be more likely to spend the money on their cheap parts. Because thats what we're after, the cheapest shit we can get our hands on, and can call "upgrades" or "mods".

Instead, they get real brave and pissy, display their lack of grammar (which I almost directly associate with intelligence). Nice black eye for the company. I dont buy many things for my car, but when I do, I will buy from Turner. Since theyve been nothing but helpful and polite, even when I had no intention in purchasing, and let that be known from the start.

This surely can not end well for IE, not in this forum at least. A word of advice from me would be to stay off Emo tech and BF.C with this shit.

I agree even if it wasn't IE fault I wouldn't buy a product with an attitude like that...

Just so you know he probably bought those pistons in 02 or 03. He has told me before that he didn't figure out that the pistons were wrong till many thousands of miles down the road, so it was way too late to do anything about it anyhow. For all we know his head cracked or his HG blew. He hasn't touched the car since it broke.
