The inlet to fuel pump has to be below the sump of the fuel cell, so I don't have many mounting options. I'm not lowering my car a lot (because low cars fucking suck) so I think it will be OK. It doesn't sit much lower than the rear dif.

If it's really close to the ground and concerns me, I'll build a protective cage for it.

you could cut into the tire holder and tuck it about 2-3 inches. just an idea.

a speed bump would take that off with pleasure.

soft lines cmon man i'd expect you to hard line it with some thick walled 3/8 316SS lines rated at 7500psi ; / i'd move the pump for sure. put it on the side if anything, not the bottom. or put it by the stock fuel filter location.. probably better. gl
          No more e30s for me.

The sump hangs below the tire well, so if I were to move the pump up, it would be way too high.

I can't put it at the stock fuel filter location because it's too far from the tank, and in order to get there the lines need to go up really high. Keep in mind the inlet to the pump needs to be gravity fed...

And I thought about hardline, but -8 stainless tube is kinda hard to bend by hand.

this weekend I pulled all the fuel lines and brake lines out, painted the holes I had drilled for the mounting hardware. I also added some mounts for the brake lines.

While i was under there, I had to put por 15 back on places where i had welded the seat rails in, because it had burned off.

I also installed the oil restrictor that I made in the block.

Lastly, I made brackets from 3/8 304SS to mount my new bigger front brakes, which arrived today (so did my wheel studs... FINALLY)

Here are the new rotors (foreground) old rotor (background) and new 6 piston differential bore caliper.

WHEEL STUDS INSTALLED. Love the "extended stud look"

New caliper on new bracket with OLD ROTOR

for reference, here's where the old caliper sat:

Nice build. The RB26s can be laggy. Good thing you will be 1000 pounds lighter. ;) GT35R is a good choice though, I would go with the smallest AR possible.
