Any updates? I love those Alpina's on that car even if they are a bit small.

I've tuned it a bit and I've done a few cosmetic things, I've been meaning to get pics, I'll post them when I have them.

the wheels are not alpinas as far as I know, they are just standard stock E21 wheels painted with polished lips. I'm getting 15's for it one day soonish.

and I don't know about the roof rack idea, I used to want one and have it decked out with semi-useless but awesome stuff because it looked great on some VW's, then I got tired of seeing so many cars with that kind of stuff, and I'd feel like a fool and a wantabe VW if I did that. maybe it will get a bike rack one day strictly for functionality. If I do, I'll try and make sure it's era specific, at least for the most part.

well, it's a little different looking:

          all red tails son:

welded the stock E21 shifter to the FB one, the throw is a bit longer, but being able to reach the shifter comfortably will be pretty nice. I also like how it makes it look like I've molested the car less than I really have.

more to come of course, stay tuned.

some pics of the original engine, decided to take it apart before recycling it, made it much easier to handle, and I got to see why it was seized.

it turned over real easy once the head was off... weird.

there is a little more progress on the car since my last post on here, I'll be sure to get you all posted on the bit of progress soon.

Sweet thread bump! I was wondering what happened to the car?

                thanks.

haven't done much on the car in the last few months because of school, work, weather, other stuff, and I've been distracted with this:

it's been a work in progress for a couple years now, has a couple things done to it that were not done in that pic. it got neglected during the time I was getting the car drivable, then I broke a front axle, then I fixed that and modified a bunch of stuff on it, the car has been mostly put asside lately.

today, I did kind of mount a new back seat and de-cluster some of my wiring a bit, more on that later.

This thread makes me want to buy the E21 that is sitting (with title) at my local JY. If they weren't such misers on the price, I'd do it.

                        Maybe.

not much of an update, the samurai seats I was trying to use ended up not working out, going to try out some old honda seats real soon. in these pics you can see my sweet new stencil and kind of see the back seat out of Janderson's car that kind of fits.

Keen on those dinosaurs are you? LOL

Your car is such a rat, needs roof racks and less interior/ color matching panels.

                            Love it!

yes, dinosaurs are so awesome! they sure burn well in my rotary. ;)

I'm actually wanting to get it less ratty, it's hoopty to the max right now!. I screwed up a few things on my truck weekend before last, so I'm distracted from my car again.... oh well. I plan to repaint the whole car.. someday., and I don't want to do the trendy roof rack thing. I think it's kind of unique how it is and how it's coming along, and I'd like to keep it unique.
