I met someone the other day who went down to the Sunnyvale Macco and got there e30 painted, looked like complete crap to me. You could tell the clear and paint was mixed. Said he payed like $800 bucks, and your recommending a $500 job LOL! Not sure why everyone's so crazy about this Oliver guy (no offense intended).
OP, good job on spending wisely. That hood made a huge difference!

Yeah, trunk has holes in it and fenders need to be trimmed down. Screw it, super cheap and you never find cirrus painted parts.

Did you buy all the parts from Marco? I thought vert fenders didn't fit and trunklid has a hole in it for the third brake light

OP needs a bare-metal engine-out color change refinish, starting with epoxy primer to Glasurit BC/CC refinish with 5 layers of clear and a full wetsand and polish to Bronzitbeige.

I'm picky, $500 wouldn't buy a paintjob I'd want. On the other hand, $70 got me a dent free cirrus hood, trunk, fenders and body painted mirrors :)
$500 could go towards more important things like a roll bar and harnesses.

Bummer all that bad paint is gone. Now all those guys in Porsches, vettes, etc won't be as embarrassed at the track when u past them ;)

That made a big difference. Car looks a lot better... Maybe I should go get those fenders I've been lagging on...

don't worry it's not pretty, just less ugly. now I've just gotta find a cirrus roof :p
back in the garage with the new 2dr.. the hood still has some paint missing to retain whee30 character.
