Idle kind of sounds like a bridge ported rotary, hahaha. Very awesome!

Thanks guys. Been playing with the idle tables in Motronic. Amazing what happens when you pull a few degrees of timing and add a touch of fuel, lol. Nice thing about Motronic's TPS, too, is as soon as the gas is touched it leaves idle map and goes into part throttle maps so it doesn't affect performance at all.

at first i was like neh.. .But after hearing it, I like!
I'm sure for the price of this m50 swap I could have a fully built m20 stroker with 10psi and be satisfied.

Skirts are from a Ford Taurus and the rear is Zender.

                  Thanks! 5yrs in the making.

Mid-80's Taurus. If you search there's a thread on how to make them fit your car. Zender is a company that made parts for e30's back in the day.

Got the OEM fog mounts today, finally! Have 2.5 sets of the lights even, one has a crack, though FTL.

Got a hold of an almost-mint spoiler and mounted it today :D Now just have to replace the rear chrome window spline and the exterior is finally to my taste except the rims. They look good on the car but am thinking about something for a change.

Well, the "budget stroker" is getting boring. Even with the 2.93, it pulls great for an m20 after the compression raise. It's about 8.9:1 now, only slightly higher than a stock b25, soooo.

I picked up a seta m20 and used the head for the casting on a jobber. Also have a nice low mileage head that will get rebuilt and shaved, but since the head is going to the machine shop, figured the block might as well too. So, took apart 2 m20's to get the eta rods/crank and i pistons.

This will happen over time, haven't ordered the rings, bearings, cam etc until all the cleaning/machining is done. We also have Pinky's parts pile getting bigger and that's priority over the Delphin car, as the Delphin car runs great as it sits. Just have a bad feeling about the block surface since it's developed yet another oil leak between the head and block. The new block will have a fresh deck surface to eliminate this (not just the head this round). Since Pinky is getting boost, the Delphin car will stay N/A m20-powered.

Anyways, obligatory pics. Nothing pretty yet, spending time on personal cars at the shop is limited. Customers generally don't like seeing you work on your own stuff lol. seta block was completely torn down and the b25 had the pistons pulled. Hopefully the seta block will pass for tolerances and the b25 block doesn't have to come apart to replace it.

lol. They certainly aren't here on a Sunday evening :)

Got the pistons cleaned up in an ultrasonic tank, block is all cleaned up and a coat of paint applied. Ready to go to the machine shop tomorrow :)

Post #27 was after the passenger side was replaced and painted. It was in rough shape after the fender got dented and from being bare black plastic in the sun.
