It's got too many issues to be worth much as an entire car.. Once I take the motor/trans it really won't be worth anything at all, so why no part it out. I would sell the rolling chassis but the wheels, coilovers, control arms, diff, driveshaft and almost every aftermarket part are all spoken for so the buyer will have to drag it out of my garage on the ground and give me more than the $75 the scrapyard will give me for it.

        Time for an update:

        e30 is nearly done cosmetically:

Pulled the motor/trans out of the e34 together, a leveler definitely would have made things easier and I'm definitely going to use one when it's time to put the motor back in the e30.

^Trying to decide whether to use this harness that I got with my megasquirt or to make an jumper harness using the stock ecu plug.. Leaning towards the second

Looks good, as I expected since there is only ~30k on this head

Wait, what's that?! Oh good, zip ties! I wonder what the heat tolerances are on these bad boys:

Clutch still looks pretty good, although I can't bring myself to re-use is so I'll be picking up another e34 m5 clutch.

So you're parting out that clean E34? That sucks. At least the motor is going to a very good home! :)

It really wasn't that nice, photos definitely made it look nicer than it was. The e30 is in much better condition

Wow, never seen those round things on the rocker arms like that before... any advantage to having those?

They're BMP rocker locks, just stronger than stock.. Supposed to prevent lateral movement on the rocker at high RPM's. Probably overkill because this motor doesn't see over 7k rpm, but oh well, they were installed when the motor was built

AKA they help rockers not break... AND its way easier to install than those stupid springs.

Finally got all of my parts gathered up and stole some garage space:

                    Last pic as an m20

Still pretty low for no motor:

About as clean as it's going to get, still a lot of cosmoline:

                    m30 ready to go in:

Just a mini update, didn't have much time to work on the car today but I did get a chance to test fit my Stahl long tubes and they DO clear Good & tight's b35 mounts. I did some measurements and it looks like they're also going to clear the firewall but it's going to be tight at the corner where the factory heatshield is. Dropping the motor in the car tomorrow for a test fit and if everything fits I'll send out the headers for ceramic coating. I'll snap a couple pics tomorrow, but the headers are just beautiful on the motor

My car has m90 pistons but I have a heard of a friend of a friend that built a similar motor using VW pistons.

Well the motor is in for test-fitting purposes. Going to pull it back out to tidy up some stuff but unfortunately the Stahl's are not going to work. The motor is tilted much further forward than it should be right now, so I'll try them one more time when I get everything leveled but they hit the firewall pretty hard.
