It's all academic, though, as I don't think anyone in their right mind would build an M20 to that extent. There are far better motors out there that'd do it far easier.

sure, but you don't need titanium valve springs to rev an M20.. most of it probably came from efficient boost, and lots of it, headwork (including a very aggressive cam) and tuning. I'd think the bottom end would be the more expensive part.

They get used in plenty of +700hp engines, Nando. I know of a few really big HP Jap cars (GT-R Skylines and Toojayzees) out here that use them, and its quite common in Jap time attack cars.

Hell, Z06 'Vettes had 'em from the factory so they can't be THAT exotic :p :D

That and the VK45 IIRC, among others... (actually not sure on the springs, but some of the valvetrain is Ti, may just be the valves)
