just read up your whole build thread, makes me wish I took more time with my e30s and put a little more effort into them like you have. Awesome car man.

Got it back, Sounds GREAT! Not loud, but you can hear it :) freeway cruising doesn't drone whatsoever, i actually can't even hear the exhaust note, only engine. I'm so happy, highly recommend the Scorpion exhaust, very high quality, also, if you need a good exhaust guy, Louie @ Exhaust Specialist in Burlingame is great, and inexpensive. I'll make a video when i take my car for a drive with my gopro/suction cup mount.

The catback came in the mail....
The oval tip looks really long, it better not stick out too far, from the looks of another pic i saw, doesn't seem to be a problem.when installed. I never thought I'd spend some much for an exhaust system...$437 catback,$150 hi flow cat, $190 headers + paying a shop to weld it all up for me... ~$300. over 1000$, ah! i need to not think about these things.
It's all worth it right?

Some Good News. Some Bad News, so today, I mounted the new studs and headers, replaced my CSB, cleaned up everything under there, and when I attempted to change my output shaft seal, it all went down hill...first I drove all around to find a damn 30mm socket, then I find one and the guy says it will fit, it doesn't, had to grind it down, no biggy, so anywho, I get under the car with the 30mm and try to break that shit loose with a socket wrench! No chance, then tried with a breaker bar. still no chance, so i drag out the air compressor and impact gun, still no luck!
HOW DO YOU GET THE DAMN NUT OFF THE TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT?
So after lots of frustration I said **** it and reinstalled my driveshaft and take it for a ride :)
Had some fun setting off alarms with open headers :) My car sounds like a beast! Can't wait for my muffler to come in. Btw, the car ran suprisingly well open headers and no o2 sensor.
Other side of engine
I'll be using the stock H pipe for my wideband (will be added between cat and headers)
Also, my coworker was nice enough to let me drive his 911! was a blast, very different from an e30, but I think it is compareably awesome :). I think my car can take his porsche tho :)
And here's some videos : )

It's mail time!
Driveshaft is out, going to be swapping csb's (having a vibration from 2k-3k in 1st and 2nd gear), going to change out the tranny seals as well.
And new hardware for my headers :)

Test fit, not bolted, cuz I have new bolts coming in the mail as well.
It's a tight fit, but clears everything! :) I'm excited.Last edited by 88SuperETABD; 04-26-2012, 09:37 AM.

So I know the o2 sensor needs to be added before the cat, and between 10 and 2 oclock up top, but here's my question and I searched but failed to find an answer,
So for these headers, for my m20, They come with a bung, but there is 2 collectors, and one o2 sensor...is it best to have an x pipe and drill the bung into that x so it reads from all 6 cyllinders(How BMW did it) rather than 3. I contacted topspeed and waiting for them to get back to me with the answer, if its okay to just do it in one collector, which do i put it in? Front or back 3 cylinders? Does it matter?
I'll be piecing together my exhaust, got Scorpion Oval catback coming in the mail,re using my high flow magnaflow cat (lessthan 5k miles), and these headers.

Yeah. I've gotten the eBay ones prior to this, this one looks to be much better quality, shame is that the shop only had the front roundel, so i have an yellowish one from ebay as well. I agree, they do look bad ass at first, then look worse and worse.
