Hey! I saw your car at the Oldtimer Grand Prix last weekend. Definetly a cool piece of kit, shame I didn't take any proper photos of it, there was so much amazing metal everywhere all the time.

Hm...
Makes me wonder if the US s5x motors need the e36 fuel filter as well.

When I was driving normal with very little trottle at around 2-4000rpm the car would run normal, then it got a hesitation, normal, hesitation and so on.
That is because when driving with that little throttle the pressure does not get higher like it does on more throttle. So bacause it was 0.2 bar less than it wanted I got that sporadic hesitation. On full throttle it worked well, but it might have run a bit lean.
Got some more pictures that I bought from a photographer:

Well fellow members, I have now completed a 3102km trip to the Nürburgring. Arrived home on tuesday.
Trip was awesome as ususal, and there was a lot of eyecandy on the Old Timer Grand Prix! I did 8 laps at the Nordschleife and set a new Bridge to Gantry record at 8.31, which is almost a minute faster than 2012! Much because of the upgrade from shitty EBC RedStuff pads to Performance Friction 06 Compund and Performance Friction brake fluid. Thouse mads DO NOT fade! Money well spend.
I had some problems before the trip, and had around 12 hours of constant searching for the source of the problem. Diagnosis gave me nothing. Turned out it had 4.8 bar of unstable fuel pressure, which was caused by a failed S14 fuel filter. Removed the filter and got a stable 5.05 bar. So, new filter was fitted and good to go. Same problem started again on the way home. S14 filter does probably not hold that 5 bar fuelpressure. So the S50B32 fuel filter will be fitted.
I have a lot of pictures, but have not uploaded to Photobucket yet. What I DO have is a BTG video and a video of some BMW Racecars idling in the paddock at the Old Timer.
Till next time....
