Thanks, well front end is some what buttoned up. Your gonna see alot of gaps and misalignment, this will be taken care of slowly along with any over spray and touch ups. A lot of parts will be replaced but due to financial reasons the original will do for now.

Took the car out for a quick spin after like 15 months, got a little too excited,

Thanks, side skirts are sitting in the garage. They won't be installed until near the end. I want to get the fenders lined up properly and paint the bottom section rocker guard material.

So its been quite a while since I've updated this, thats cause this has kept me busy.

But the weathers getting better and its time to get the e30 on the road. Ordered a bunch of things for the car.

How it looked before the tear down,

                During,

That's it for tonight more coming this week.

A little bit more work done today,
                  Throttle body heater removed,

                  All cleaned up....sort of

For those who have done this mod, can I simply leave this out?

                  Prepped for paint,

Removed thermostat cover to find this, yuck

Car came with a rebuilt starter when I bought it, might as well replace it now even though nothings wrong with the old one

A little bit more naked bay,

                  Parts starting to gather,

                  Anyone know what this is?

They're pretty good, because the bulb housing is at an angle the light is better diffused, but nothing really compares to normal bulbs.

                              So more work was done,

There's so much filth and grease everywhere,

Oil pan was a bi*ch to take off, there was so much silicon holding that pan I couldn't even get it off smacking it with a rubber mallet, finally had to score the silicon all around and eventually dropped. Luckily no bolts in the pan.

Took the oil filter housing, there was sludge coming out, sigh

                              Before,

                              After,threw some paint on,

Threw some paint on some random parts, came out better than expected,

I think I have the motor apart as far as I dare to go with it for now, reassembly will start as soon as I get all the gaskets and what not in.

More work done today, missing the water pipe so everything else is delayed, should have it by next week...hopefully.

Valve cover, newer one vs old one

Valve cover in with all new gaskets

My original theme in the bay was to keep it clean, silver and black...that failed, and now I have some color in the bay. Going to try to keep it subtle.

Thats it for now, more tomorrow.
