Is this the car with the tree sap damage? I woulda been driving this thing had the guy continued contact, fell off the face of the earth with me. At least you got it and not some nozzle.

What turbo you going for? "GT42 M52" sounds nice. It has symmetry. Symmetry is nice.

DUDE! I thought it was gonna stay M42...had NFC you were gonna twist it in half! Boosted 24V is gonna be brutal. That is why you wanted that slicktop, right, so you could try and keep the chassis straight?

So glad you got that car. Would have been great in Farbins hands too, but shit happens. Anyone on the planet who knows Bill Spornitz knows he is excellent to do business with.

He agonized over selling that car for months, had a couple of deals fall through. I know he wanted to make it flawless.....now I gotta convince you to bring it back so we can make the damn thing make actual MUSIC... and be able to take a phone call properly while driving.

          Closing SOON!

yes it had some issues from sitting outside for a long time. i havent gotten serious with the paint yet but i rubbed on it a while and got it presentable. Im going to get the swap done and then work on cosmetics. the car has all the original VIN stickers and has never had any paint work as far as i can tell. After getting it and driving it a few months it is really hard to pull the M42. its such a fun, albeit, gutless little car

Since I'll be dropping my rear subframe soon, I was noticing the custom blunttech support brace setup there and curious how it worked for ya Steve. Is that a 4x4 post supported by the stands? Any other pads etc?

Aw, I miss that car, I'm sure Bill does too. Glad it went to someone in the small group of us who build cars correctly, and not someone like Kenika or yahoo.

Looking forward to the progression of this thread!

Well Ive been hitting it an hour or 2 a day but being the parts mogul of the northern hemisphere doersnt leave me much time. I have all the suspension done finally though. And i moved on to the motor. The motor is ready to come out. Its just sitting in there. i started fabbing up the intercooler. had to cut more than i thought. Good n tight talked sense into me when i was ready to tear all the a/c out. it would have been much easier but I will enjoy the a/c so im glad i listened to him. Lots of little shit to buy. Im not good at pictures but ill try to take more along the way
intercoolers mounted temporarily .... still needs to come down an inch
