stock bottom end with MLS and ARP head studs. Otherwise stock. I just bought the turbo, wastegate and BOV the other night. I also bought the muffler and silicone couplers. Gotta buy the clutch tonight. This shit adds up but im excited to get the rest of this stuff so i can start assembling. Spoke with Matt at TRM about a remote tune in a few weeks. I know it will probably take me longer than that though the way i move. i dont have as much free time as I used to. If someone needs a brand new synapse 40mm wastegate I have a new one in the box i wont be using

do i have to completely remove the rear subframe to get to those bushings?
Actually, there is a special tool that can be used to get them out w/o dropping the subframe, but I think most are like blunt and myself and just want to pull the damned thing out and do everything like clean and paint, replace all the diff seals, Bowden cables, etc. It also allows you to access the two upper rear brake lines if you're installing stainless steel ones. Those buggers are virtually impossible to get to with the subframe installed.

so i got a few things done on the car. I pulled the motor last night after dinner before it got dark. I have to work outside on the driveway for now because my garage is full but ive sold a couple cars so as soon as i ship 2 motors I will have a bay free so it can go inside. Today i took my 02 out and pushed the e30 in to wash the bay up and swap out the booster. Gutenparts was good enough to supply me with an 02 booster and they shipped it down to Good and tights where he shortened the shaft for me. I dont have a welder and he offered to do it for me. Good and tight is skilled with all size shafts by the way. As a side note right after i got the motor out super duper and his girlfriend drove in the driveway. Bob was shocked at the progress Im making because Ive done more work in 2 hours than he has in 2 years. He seemed rushed so i imagine he went home to try and get something done on his car so he doesnt look so pathetic. Heres a couple shots of the motor going together. im lucky to know a bunch of guys at the dealer and my friend peter is a tech there. He always borrows all the tools needed for head removal from the dealer and stops by to help

and this is how I did my turbo drain. I think itll be ok.

so here is the obligatory before and after shot. 1/4 million miles of grease and oil.
I would normally rub out the inner fenders and wax them but fuck it. I just want a clean driver and im not going overboard on this car. as long as its clean im fine with it
          before

and after.. I got a little carried away with the cut off wheel while removing brackets. i accidentally went through on the drivers inner fender just a tad. So I need to fix that

I still havent ordered my clutch and thats going to slow me up because of the holiday. otherwise i could drop the motor in. Turbo should be here any day. I just need a driveshaft and clutch and I can start assembling

Shit don't know how I missed this earlier, excited to see how it turns out.

I'd definitely do the brakes with the amount of whp you are shooting for.

Hey, I noticed another custom-prototype-patented-blunttech-special-tool you were using to install your subframe bushings in an earlier pic. Can you help a guy out and reveal the specs on this? I began the dreaded subframe removal project and any piece of advice would be greatly appreciated.
