Much like me, you saved a car tantamount to scrap. I would say to paint that bish, but I respect your choices. I like that you've had to do all the shit I've had to do and then some to get it going and keep it on the road. I love my car so much since I've done what I have so far. Now that I'm almost done, I wanted inspiration. This pushes me forward where I was getting a little burnt out after missing my deadline for fixxfest.sigpic

And a full body shot for good measure
In the meantime I'll be trying to fire up the welder this weekend and see if I can close up those trim holes on the c-pillar

Here's a video of the 3" in action
Lately I've just been cleaning things up and fixing a few minor things. For example I de-rusted the turbo coolant lines
And the rust has really started to colorize nicely

Ever thought about putting the diving boards back on and rusting those to match?

Just read the whole thread. My god. I have a decent amount of rust, in the same area in the truck. Never really knew / cared to know about welding until now. Made a few calls to older brother's friends, found a guy with a huge garage, plasma cutter, and a MIG and TIG welder.. Now just to pick up some aluminum and make a new floorboard as well. I liked how you just cut out the rear end of another e30, I think I am going to tackle it the same way, rather than trying to weld in a corner. Anyways, awesome budget build.
